going live now...
![]() Arts Council England, South East have developed a new project called Short Circuit - a strategic action research project designed to put digital acumen and disability artistry together. So what’s the plan? It’s got two parts to it - an initial event called Open Circuit so people can meet, mix and meddle – artists, technicians, coders, creatives and collaborators. That’s on 1st May in London at the fabulous Mozilla Foundation just off Covent Garden. After than, people will be encouraged to pair or group up and a selected group of partners will get to take part in an intensive Short Circuit two day process, giving time and space for some in-depth play, pushing – stretching the boundaries of knowledge on both sides. That’s on 8th and 9th June at the wonderful Lighthouse, in Brighton. Its being developed by Jo Verrent and Sarah Pickthall and they've just finalised the website where you can find out more information about the programme and how to apply. Any questions – please email Jo or Sarah at joverrent@mac.com and sarah@cuspinc.org Perhaps you might be interested yourself, or know of people who might be – either disabled artists or digital specialists. Please do feel free to pass the info on. The deadline to apply is midday on the 10th April, but all the info is on the website. All the best all at Short Circuit |
